The unit includes a washable mesh mattress and quilted cover. It also features a convenient storage basket for essentials. This review breaks down how these specs translate into daily use for your family.

Good fit for
This bassinet suits parents who value a dedicated, safe sleeping space for their newborns. The included storage basket is ideal for keeping diapers and wipes within reach. The touch-sensitive, backlit interface allows for easy adjustments without fully waking the baby. If you prefer a setup that requires no batteries and offers tool-less assembly, this model fits your needs. The Baby Allegiance Certification provides reassurance regarding safety standards. The hypoallergenic materials are also a strong match for babies with sensitive skin.
Who can skip it
You should look at another option if you have limited nursery floor space. At 33.8 inches wide and 24.5 inches long, this unit occupies a significant footprint. The 30.5-pound weight makes it difficult to move frequently. If you need a lightweight, portable bassinet for travel, this fixed-size model is not suitable. Additionally, if you prefer a completely silent, mechanical interface over a touch-sensitive UI, this design may not align with your preferences. The large dimensions require a dedicated corner in your room.
Verdict
The UPPAbaby Soma Smart Bassinet offers a spacious, certified-safe sleep space with practical storage and easy assembly. It is best for parents who prioritize a dedicated, stationary nursery solution over portability.
